2011 St-Ambroise FRINGE Montreal Festival

fringeThe 2011 St-Ambroise FRINGE Montreal Festival will take place between May 30th - June 19th.

The festival is in its 21st year. Last year were 50 000 participants to the festival.




This year at the 2011 St-Ambroise FRINGE Montreal Festival  will be over 700 performances by over 500 theatre, comedy, dance, music and visual artists.

The St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival is the ultimate Summer happening to hit up for that unbeatable neighborhood feel!

Block party and performing arts collide every June in the Plateau Mile-End for this celebration of creativity without limits that includes music, comedy, dance and theatre from over 500 performers.

The St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival is bilingual, and includes local, national and international artists from Montreal to Greece to Japan!



The Canadian Fringe Festivals
® are built on four principles:

1) No Artistic Direction. Artists are selected by lottery.
2) No Censorship. Artists have complete freedom to present ANYTHING.
3) Accessibility to artists. Anyone can apply to the lottery.
4) Accessibility to audience. Ticket prices are kept low and 100% of the ticket price is returned to the artists you see on stage.
